Awesome shrimp for dinner since it was close by! Can't complain with the giant portion of shrimp and rice. Nice stop for the family.
We tried all 3 bbq stalls in the foodcourt and this is the best. The shrimps are so deliciously cooked! I guess the bbq skills of Jonathan and Violet are so meticulous and on point!
We both always eat at other places in this food court. But today we took a chance on Hawaiian shrimp co. Best decision today thus far lol we drove in from Kona starving and ended up getting shrimp and steak plate and steak and kalbi. There was three different shrimps garlic, hurricane and lilikoi. Kristal gave us a mix of shrimp to see which one we liked the best for next time. She was super friendly and her service was amazing! The homemade sauce GET IT! All the sides was good also. But by far my fave was the lilikoi shrimp! No question! Before we left we had to let them know it was bomb AF! Violet and Kristal together was a power house running this awesome restaurant! Amazing service! If you're ever in the area and wanting amazing local food stop by Hawaiian shrimp co!
This is in our top five places to eat at on the East Hawaii side of the Big Island. Every guest and friend we send here is always happy and glad they took our advice. The garlic shrimp makes us want to fly to Hilo Just for dinner. So worth it. Also such sweet friendly Spirit of Aloha service. We also love their Kim chee and purple potato salad and of course Kalbi Beef too.
Located in an older food court. The food was good for the price. I got the regular combo that came with garlic shrimp, two small slices of galbi and some korean fried chicken, rice and a side item. It was all very flavorful and a generous amount of food for the price. Much better than the touristy restaurants. I do wish the garlic shrimp was a bit crispier. Come here for the food, not the ambiance (think older food court seating area).
The garlic shrimp is delicious. The shrimp themselves are huge and you get plenty. Staff was super friendly upon arrival. Food took a while to make (15-20 minutes) so I think shrimp is made to order. You get choice of sides. I asked for broccoli as one of mine but I think they misheard me or missed it. Not a huge deal. The food is well made, and I'd return. It's in a strip mall style cafeteria, so there are tables and high chairs available to eat your food. I want to go back and try the lilikoi shrimp.

The owner was so sweet and shared the story of how she came up with the Steak Twisted Fries. A former customer asked her to surprise her with flavor in her fries when they ran out of Ketchup one day. It was so ono, they put it on the menu! I ordered one to share at first but everyone wanted their own since it was so delicious!!! Definitely come and try it for yourself! Support a great local business!
Hawaiian shrimp company is located inside the food court. I went there at around 10 am and there were plenty of seating available. The parking lot was 80% full since it shares it with walmart. I ordered the garlic shrimp kalbi combo plate. The shrimp was delicious and the kalbi was even better. Well marinated, juicy, and fatty. The kimchi side was too salty which i gave up on eating it. If the price was a bit lower, this place definitely gets a 5!
I LOVE THESE GUYS!! Always has been my one stop spot to get affordable plates of DELICIOUS foods!! Every time I come in, Aunty ( the manager) always notices me and greets me with a warm welcoming!! She's the sweetest person ever.. SO BE NICE lol but I really appreciate all her and her employees hard worker to provide such amazing food and service each and every time I stop by! No matter where you're from you should DEFINITELY check this place out!! LOCAL KINE GRINDS BRAH
